Keep NZ Beautiful week is coming up again – its the biggest community driven environmental event. It is the one week every year where as a region, nation we are encouraged to give something back and clean up, fix up and conserve our environment.
Help Us make Clean Up Week 2009 even bigger
Beyond picking up roadside rubbish, there are lots of things you can do to make clean Up week 2009 an even great success. Here are just a few to get you started.
- Sign Up. Not only will your really feel part of it, but you'll also recieve lots of useful tips and tools to reduce your waste.
- Tell a friend. Better still, tell all your friends, and your family, and your workmates. Just email them with a link to this website.
- Learn how to organize a clean up in your town or local community.
- Advertise. If you've registered as a business, don't be afraid to advertise your support for Clean Up week. It's great for business and the environment.
- Support. if you'd like to take a more significant role in Clean Up Week 2009, contact WasteNet to find out about support opportunities
Clean Up Every Day
Picking up rubbish for a day is a great first step, but if you really want to see a difference, then make Clean Up part of your everyday life.
Simple things like recycling your household rubbish will all help us reach our goal of reducing our waste to landfill by up to 50 percent. Even something as simple as reusing your empty ice-cream container for storage, makes a big difference.
