WasteNet Southland provides the coordinated delivery of solid waste services within the Southland region to faciliate and oversee the implementation of the Southland Waste Management Plan 2004.
This is the Annual Report for the period 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010, and was adopted by the Waste Advisory Group at its meeting on 19 July 2010.
Due to the scope of solid waste minimisation, the projects are categorised into four key programmes - Business, Community, Education and Administration/Strategic. Each programme has goals that relate to WasteNet Southlands short term objectives (as document in the Business Plan) and link with methods identified in the Southland Waste Management Plan 2004. Within each programme, projects have been selected to achieve the programme goals.
