You can reduce the need for yoghurt containers by

  • Make your own yoghurt
  • Buy 1 litre container of yoghurt and separate it into smaller reusable containers



Here are a few suggestions on what else you can do with yoghurt containers

  • As with all plastic containers, reuse them as storage
  • You can also use them for filling with juice before freezing them to make ice-lollies
  • Schools and playgroups could use as craft materials (they are great for holding paints and brushes)
  • Use in the garden as pots for seedlings



Yoghurt containers can be recycled.

  • Drain the left over yoghurt from the container
  • Rinse it (the container needs to be clean to be able to be recycled)
