Invercargill City Council provides a 3-times weekly kerbside rubbish bag collection service to properties within the Central Business District.
Kleensacs with pre-paid rubbish stickers are placed at the kerbside by 9am for collection on Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's. Please note only kleensacs with official pre-paid Council stickers will be collected.
Official pre-paid Council stickers are available from Invercargill City Council cashiers (who are located on the ground floor of the Civic Administration Building, 101 Esk Street, Invercargill). The pre-paid stickers are $2 each or a book of 25 for $50.
No you do not have to purchase the kleensacs from Council. Council do have kleensacs available for sale to residential and commerical customers.
